1. Setup
- Computer
If you are using a laptop to restock I will warn you, it’s hard; but by no means impossible. It may help to attach a mouse though, if you have one.
If you are using a desktop computer be sure to clear the area around you of obstructions that may hinder you when trying to RS that Draik Egg 😉
Last of all close down all unnecessary programs which may slow down your computer and/or connection.
- Software
Make sure you have the latest software downloads as the updates generally improve performance.
- Mouse Speed
Set your mouse speed so it’s comfortable for you… Supersonic speed may get you from one side of the page to another quickly, but your accuracy will suffer!
If you’re RSing on an Apple, good luck!!! … Mouse acceleration is a bugger! I am a dedicated iMac RSer and I use a 6″ tablet which I find fantastic
- Screen Size
Upon refresh you want to see as much of the shop as possible so scrolling is not necessary, but you want the prices, pictures and names to be ledgable too.
- Connection
Reset you connection to the Internet. It can often help enormously.
I see people all of the time writing how impossible it is to RS on a slow connection, this is nonsense!!! The connection is secondary to the RSer! I’ve made my NP’s on a connection of 25-35kb/s (SLOOOW).
2. Method
The method you use to RS will probably be determined by what feels most comfortable to you, but if you have a slow computer/connection then the shopkeeper method is best.
To Refresh – click shopkeeper (slow connections)
– F5 (any connection)
When you see an item you want and click on it, you will be given this option:
NEVER use the mouse here!!!! It’s just too slow… Either
– press Space (not on an Apple)
– press Enter

It’s time to haggle, here you can either use:
– the number keys at the top of your keyboard
– the number keys to the right
Haggle amounts…. Get this bit wrong and they’ll be :(. The best thing to do is stick as close to the original stock price as possible. If am item is stocked at 102,149np , then 98989 or 99999 would be a great price. With the lower priced items eg. 2500, 2222 will often be too low… So 2424 would be a good haggle in my opinion.
Whether you choose a repetative haggle such as 99999 or an alternating haggle such a 98989 is up to you. Ignore the “nOOb” comments, it’s just crap. If you get the item, then your haggle was the “best”
3. Getting to the shops
There are a couple of methods to use here. The first is to have 10 tabs open at once, each with a differant shop and click and refresh each on whenever you choose. You could go to:
Add the last digits to this link and go to various shops simply by entering the relevant number eg. Magic 2, Food 1, etc…. It’s a fun RS method!! Or you could make a customised toolbar which will take you directly to your favourite shops.

This is what makes RSing hard, this is
